ABACORP was engaged to deliver the complete fitout of The Horse Café, a stylish and character-filled venue located in the heart of Surry Hills. The project involved transforming an existing tenancy into a unique hospitality space that blends industrial charm with contemporary café culture.

The scope included full internal demolition, structural adjustments, and complete construction of the café interior. Key features of the fitout included custom-built counters and joinery, polished concrete flooring, exposed brick finishes, ambient pendant lighting, and greenery integration to enhance the urban aesthetic.

The back-of-house works included a fully compliant commercial kitchen installation, upgraded mechanical ventilation systems, grease trap connections, and compliant services throughout. The project also delivered new customer amenities, custom banquette seating, and detailed signage and branding elements.

With a focus on quality craftsmanship and smart space utilisation, ABACORP worked closely with the client and design team to ensure every detail supported the café’s brand vision. Delivered within a busy inner-city environment and under a compressed program, the result is a vibrant and welcoming venue that reflects Surry Hills’ iconic food and coffee scene.
