This project involved the refurbishment of select auditoriums and the complete transformation of the main candy bar at Event Cinemas Macarthur Square, modernising the complex to elevate the customer experience and align with Event’s evolving brand.

Key works included reconfiguration of seating, acoustic upgrades, new decorative finishes, floor coverings, and specialist lighting within the auditoriums. The candy bar was fully demolished and rebuilt, featuring custom joinery, feature lighting, integrated food service equipment, and upgraded back-of-house facilities.

Additional front-of-house enhancements included new signage, finishes, and service zone reconfiguration, supported by mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and fire upgrades to ensure full compliance. Delivered within a live trading environment, the works were carefully staged to minimise disruption to cinema patrons.

The result is a revitalised entertainment hub that delivers a premium, welcoming, and modern cinema experience for the Macarthur community.
