This project delivered a landmark four-storey Junior School facility for St Luke’s Grammar School in Dee Why, transforming the campus into a modern, future-focused learning environment. The building features a striking coastal-inspired façade with flowing balcony lines, extensive glazing, and a north-facing central atrium that forms the heart of the new campus.
The development provides flexible, contemporary learning spaces for Kindergarten to Year 6, including open-plan classrooms, breakout areas, specialised learning zones, and collaborative learning pods. Classrooms open directly onto outdoor balcony areas overlooking the atrium, creating seamless indoor–outdoor learning and enhancing supervision.
The project also includes a purpose-built Early Learning Centre on the rooftop level, complete with outdoor play areas, landscaped zones, and panoramic views of the Northern Beaches coastline. Internally, the building incorporates high-performance acoustic treatments, modern AV/ICT infrastructure, and adaptable learning furniture to support evolving pedagogical needs.
Site works included major excavation, retaining structures, new services infrastructure, extensive landscaping, and the creation of new pedestrian links across the campus. The school remained operational throughout construction, requiring careful staging, strict WHS measures, and daily coordination with the school’s leadership team to maintain safety and minimise disruption.
The result is a flagship education facility that elevates the school’s learning offering and delivers a state-of-the-art environment tailored to collaborative, technology-enabled teaching.
